Personality: Moises, like any other Encantado, is extremely charming, graceful, and seductive. He’s very friendly to pretty much everyone, being very social and fun to be with at parties. His curiosity can sometimes get him into trouble, and although he’s known for being friendly and the ultimate charmer, he’s also known for holding fierce grudges against those who manage to get on his bad side; something you really DO NOT want to do.
Bio: Moises was born a “child of the boto”; his mother was only 17 when she was lead from her small village home into the Amazon river, where she was impregnated by one of the “enchanted”. She gave birth to Moises 9 months later, and like many other young women before her who had become pregnant by the same means, her sanity slowly drifted away from her.
Outraged, her father left the baby boy at the river, cursing the enchanted race that dwelled in the river.
Later that evening, another encantado returning home from a party noticed the baby left on the river shore, and brought him back to the Encante.
By the time Moises was 14 years old, he’d grown bored of the Encante, and started venturing to the surface to explore the human world. He immersed himself in the culture as much as he possibly could, stealing magazines about everything from fashion to music to food. As he grew up, he became especially fascinated by American culture, and began doing everything he could to try and get himself there; he played guitar and sang on street corners and at parties, and scammed people for pocket change, all while having the time of his life sleeping with various people and living it up at exclusive parties.
But even after four years, Moises hadn’t even made enough money for a plane ticket, let alone enough money to get by in another country. Feeling hopeless, he wandered aimlessly through the small village. As he walked, the postman happened to pass by, and a large envelope fell out of his mail bag.
Moises meant to catch up with the postman and return the letter to him, but when he saw that the letter was from a school in the United States, he scurried into a nearby alley and opened it himself.
It turned out that the letter was from Misery High, a boarding school located in the state of Virginia. The letter was to let a local boy know that he had been chose for their exchange student program.
It took a lot of string-pulling, charming, and other tricks, but he somehow managed to fill the form out in his name and get himself into the states. He’s never been more happy in his life.
Powers: Like the rest of the Encante, Moises possesses the ability to shape-shift into human form. He can also enchant people into doing his bidding, and can inflict illness, insanity, and in extreme cases, death. It is also said that encantados possess the power to control storms, though Moises has never managed to do something like that.
Weaknesses: Do to his true form being that of a Boto (the Amazon River dolphin), Moises has to spend at least 4 hours a day in water, otherwise he will die. Another thing that can be considered a handicap is that even in his human form, he still has a blowhole on thr top of his head, which he keeps hidden at all time. Another weakness he has is chili; ingesting it could kill him, and just being near it can block out his powers and sometimes cause him to revert back to his true form.}
